Goodson Associates were appointed to provide Civil, Structural and Transportation Engineering services for the delivery of a new 45,000 sqft six storey office building. This was constructed on a brownfield city centre site and unusually spanned over an adopted roadway.
Location: Aberdeen
Client: –
Value: £ 10 Million
Project Dates: 2015
The building was constructed from a braced steel frame, to both bridge over the roadway and to provide a virtually column free internal office space. Externally the building was clad in bother composite cladding, and full height curtain walling. Historically the land the building was constructed on was reclaimed from the River Dee, and as a result the underlying ground conditions were very poor and the need for CFA piled foundations.
