Goodson Associates was appointed in 2019 as part of the design team to design new infrastructure to connect the separate roads at Little France Drive and Little France Road, design a new access road with associated drainage to plots in the north western area of the site, and provide a service access to the new Usher Institute building being constructed to the south of the existing canal.
The project was extended in collaboration with SUSTRANS to include segregated cycle path provision along Little France Drive and alongside the new link road.
The project was commissioned by University of Edinburgh. Working at bioquarter there is a strong collaboration between the site development partners (University of Edinburgh, Scottish Enterprise, City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian).
