Phase 1 of the project will deliver 117 new affordable homes of which 87 will be for rent by the Highland Council with 26 for mid-market rent through Highland Housing Alliance and 4 for sale through the LIFT (Shared Equity) initiative. The first 28 homes were completed in July 2022 with further phases of completion up to May 2023.

The first phase, which is the largest affordable housing development in Highlands since the 1980’s has benefited from £10.9 million in Scottish Government grant assistance, through the mainstream housing programme and the Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme. The funding has enabled use of the latest heat battery storage technology linked to air source heat pumps and solar panels, contributing to The Highland Council’s response to the Climate Emergency and helping to ensure that the completed homes can be heated affordably
