Currie Community High School is aiming to be the first Passivhaus High School to be constructed in Scotland.
The proposals include a 1200 pupil Campus with Community Sports Facilities delivered as a tandem build on the existing site. The proposals include a dedicated Passivhaus swimming pool.

Feasibility studies were undertaken using a variety of construction materials but due to economic pressures a braced steel frame was progressed with CLT and Glulam limited to the Passivhaus Pool Hall only.
