Goodson Associates was appointed to provide Civil and Structural Engineering services for the delivery of a new primary school with associated ELC provision, through a two school appointment.
The new school will feature as the primary education service for Aberdeen City Council within the new suburban town of Countesswells.
Location: Aberdeen
Client: –
Value: £ 17 Million
Project Dates: 2023
The new school is for around 430 pupils with an additional 60 early learning and childcare places.
The structure is a braced frame, with composite concrete suspended floors in two storey areas.
The building is typically clad with brickwork to first floor level, and composite cladding above. At the outset of the project we were actively involved in appraising options available, identifying key constraints and positively influencing the site layout so that the best possible solution was developed.
