Project Description
The new library is an award winning four and a half storey building with rooftop plant room, curved facade and feature drum.

Construction Overview
The structure is a steel frame with in-situ concrete composite suspended floors. There is a 14m diameter load bearing masonry “drum” feature which has in-situ concrete waffle slab floors. The main front facade is a full height double wall of two glazed screens on a steel lattice framework which admits natural light but avoids heat build-up.
