Goodsons are part of the design team for the new East End Community Campus in Dundee. This is to replace two existing secondary schools together with provide community facilities and create a new and exciting learning environment. The new school is to cater for in excess of 1800 secondary school pupils and is also designed to meet Passivhaus standards.
Goodsons have also been responsible for the transportation detailing as the new entrance is off a busy arterial road in the city and also the drainage design in coordination with Scottish Water and SEPA.

The new building comprises a 3 storey reinforced concrete teaching block with post-tensioned flat slabs supported on regular columns. The stability is provided by the stair cores strategically placed around the building. The sports and ASN facilities are a combination of single and double storey steel frames with composite floor slabs. Piled foundations are required to support the new structures.
